Olli Jokinen on the verge of being traded

The Florida Panthers are discussing with several teams around the NHL about trading their captain in the near future. When he learned about the fact of being shopped around the league he was furious at GM/Coach Jacques Martin. The Leafs, Canadiens, Ducks, Avalanche and Canucks are involved in the discussion. A trade could happen sooner rather than later.

A rumor surfaced on TSN, that the Flyers and Canucks were discussing a deal that would Ryan Kesler to Philly and Jeff Carter to Vancouver.

Kenny Rogers is close to sign a contract with the Detroit Tigers.

AC Milan and Chelsea are in the running to sign Ronaldinho.

The MLS are talking about expansion these days. Montreal, Vancouver, Portland, NYC, Miami, Las Vegas and Atlanta are mentioned but the final spot for expansion in 2009 will go to either Philadelphia, St. Louis or Montreal.
