D.C. United in a shopping spree

Several media outlets are letting people know that DC United is close to finalize several deals with players around South America. Jose Carvallo, Claudio Lopez, Gonzalo Martinez, Saidi Godinez and Franco Niell are all mentioned in the rumor mill. Jose Carvallo currently playing at Universitario de Deportes, (according to sources) is close to sign a deal with DC United. And According to colombian newspaper DC United are close to sign center-back Gonzalo Martinez to a contract on a transfer from Club Deportivo Los Millonarios. Currently Franco Niell is the only one who signed a contract with DC United.

A Toronto FC blog is reporting that TFC is in negotiation with Corinthians central-attacking-midfielder Roger.

According to the Daily Star, Bolton striker Nicolas Anelka has agreed a salary package at Chelsea worth over £20m.
